Balfour Beatty Settlement Program

Balfour Beatty is an infrastructure company that finances, creates, produces, and sustains essential infrastructure in the United States and the United Kingdom. But the company was accused of making improper employee background checks.

The Balfour Beatty settlement program comes as a result of a lawsuit filed against the company for violating both the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the California Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act (ICRAA) between August 2019 and February 2022.

According to Washington Examiner, the company has denied any misconduct, but Balfour Beatty has agreed to pay a settlement of $350,000 to settle the claims made against them.
