The bomb threat at Texas Capitol prompted an evacuation and no explosive devices was found during the search.
Authorities Received Bomb Threat at Texas Capitol
The Department of Public Safety released an emergency alert Sunday evening after receiving a bomb threat at Texas Capitol.
According to Austin Police Department, they received a 911 call from an unknown person claiming they placed a pipe bomb in the Texas Capitol.
The Austin Police Department reported to the Department of Public Safety the bomb threat at Texas Capitol at approximately 4 p.m., Texas Tribune reported.
Out of caution, at approximately 5 p.m. the Department of Public Safety vacated the building and brought in troopers with K-9 dogs to search the premises of the Capitol.
No explosive devices were found in the Capitol.

Bomb Threat at Texas Capitol: Investigation Continues
The Bomb threat at Texas Capitol is currently under investigation by the Department of Public Safety.
After explosive K-9s and Troopers searched the premises of the Capitol and found no explosive devices, the all-clear was given at 7:23 Sunday evening.
The Austin Police Department and the Department of Public Safety did not immediately reply to requests for comment.
Austin police said the building was safe to return to after a sweep of Capitol grounds. At the time the bomb threat at Texas Capitol was called in, lawmakers were not convening Sunday evening.
