Stalking Case Ends in Tragedy
A podcast host and her husband were tragically killed in their home in Redmond, Washington, early Friday morning by a truck driver from Texas who had been stalking the woman.
Ramin Khodakaramrezaei, 38, allegedly broke into the couple’s home through a bedroom window and shot the woman’s husband, Mohammad Milad Naseri,35, in the chest. The podcast host’s mother was also present at the home and managed to escape and alert the authorities.
When the police arrived, they found the podcast host, Zohreh Sadeghi, 33, and the gunman dead. They believe that the suspect had taken his own life. The shooter is said to have died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Green. The male victim, despite receiving CPR from the police, did not survive the injury he sustained.

According to the Redmond Police Department, the suspect and the victim who is a podcast host met through a social networking app in a group for Farsi speakers. They became friends and spoke regularly until the woman decided to disengage due to the suspect’s excessive messaging. The podcast host first contacted the police in December 2021, and the case was later escalated in January 2022 as the suspect’s behavior intensified, NBC News reported. She reported over 100 contacts from the man in a single day and even received gifts and other items in the mail.
The podcast host and her husband had taken all possible measures to protect themselves, including installing security cameras. However, the suspect still managed to break into their home and commit the heinous crime.
The police were not able to serve the man with a protection order as he lived in Texas, and they were not able to make contact with him.
