HOUSTON — A suspect was arrested Wednesday after police said a homeless man was killed and another was injured in two separate shootings in southeast Houston.
Police said the man that died was found shot behind a Burger King on Bellfort Avenue and Broadway Street. The other man was shot near a Walgreens and was able to walk to a daycare where he was taken to a hospital and listed as stable.
Surveillance videos from several different locations were able to help police identify the suspect. He was first identified as a person of interest and then arrested in connection to these shootings.
Police believe the suspect was also homeless. The motive for the shootings is unknown. Police said a gun was recovered.
