One of Donald Trump’s former attorneys is horrified by the thought that the former president could be indicted, especially with the Manhattan District Attorney’s probe allegedly nearing completion and the former president having been given the opportunity to speak before the grand jury.
Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani lashed out at the idea that Donald Trump would be charged with receiving hush money from Stormy Daniels on Newsmax on Saturday.
It is commonly believed that Trump’s invitation to testify before the grand jury is an indication that he is going to be indicted.
Giuliani, meanwhile, finds the notion that Trump might face charges ridiculous. He compared Donald Trump’s transgressions to those of former President Bill Clinton and his Monica Lewinsky affair.
Further criticizing the prosecution of the case by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was made by the former mayor.

Donald Trump Possible Indictment
The information also smacks Trump a further setback as he launches his third consecutive presidential campaign, possibly placing his political aspirations and legal issues head-on.
Daniels, who goes by her stage name rather than her real name Stephanie Clifford, claims to have had sex with married Trump in 2006 in Nevada. He refuted the claim, but close to the end of the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump reimbursed Michael Cohen, his longtime fixer, for a $130,000 hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.
The payment, which Cohen claimed was made in concert with, and at the direction of, Trump was the subject of a federal campaign finance violation plea agreement that Cohen later entered.
An ongoing investigation into Trump’s involvement in the case appeared to stall, and it was overshadowed by legal disputes about Trump’s retention of confidential information and his attempts to rig the 2020 presidential election.
Trump is the first declared presidential candidate for 2024, and Nikki Haley, his former UN ambassador, has already joined him in the Republican primary contest. The majority of surveys place Trump ahead of possible competitors like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Trump’s other legal issues keep piling up. The Justice Department’s Special Counsel is also looking into the former president’s attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election as well as the secret materials that were taken from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida last summer.
The district attorney for Fulton County in Georgia is looking into possible Trump meddling in Georgia’s upcoming 2020 election.
Trump and the Trump Organization are being sued by Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, on the grounds that they defrauded banks and tax authorities about the value of properties like golf courses and skyscrapers in order to obtain loans and tax advantages.
