According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, two home invasion suspects were apprehended on Tuesday with the aid of a K-9 officer.
Males Forced
Authorities said that three males forced their way inside a house on Tucumcari Drive in Ponderosa Forest and demanded money from a mother who was there with her children.
They said that when the suspects stormed in and began attacking the wife, she was hiding in a bedroom with her three children. Somehow, the mother and kids managed to escape the house.
Deputies said that after arriving at the residence, they set up a perimeter in an effort to locate the suspects. According to authorities, K-9 “Rambo” managed to track down two of the three criminals.
According to Precinct 4 officers, 27-year-olds Jorge Saker Vanegas and Roberto Loredo were taken into custody on the spot.
The car the crooks arrived in, according to the authorities, also contained cocaine. According to authorities, Loredo and Vanegas were both out on bail on charges of burglary and DWI, respectively.
For dog bite treatment, Loredo was transferred to a local hospital. After being let go, he was checked into the Harris County Jail.
Burglarizing Home
According to police, Vanegas was accused with burglarizing a home with the purpose to conduct aggravated assault, fleeing on foot, being a criminal in possession of a firearm, and having possession of a controlled drug.
On Thursday morning, he appeared in probable cause court, where the judge set his overall bail at $105,000.
The judge read aloud during the hearing, “It’s alleged Mr. Vanegas acknowledged to driving to the place and admitting to knowing the complainant’s ex-husband because he had past drug dealings with him.
Vanegas, according to investigators, is from Colombia but has spent the previous two years living in Houston with his girlfriend and their 3-year-old daughter. He was employed part-time as a concierge.
The third suspect in the home invasion, according to investigators, is still being sought after.
Other Reports, Robbed
Authorities have two burglary suspects in jail and are looking for a third. In northwest Harris County, the guys are accused of robbing a mother while brandishing a pistol in front of her small children.
Around 9:30 p.m., deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 responded to a house invasion in the 1400 block of Tucumcari Drive in Ponderosa Forest close to Spring. When they got there, they discovered that three guys had broken in and were demanding money.
Marisol, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “I hear someone that begins like kicking my door, my back door, and I’m like, ‘oh my God, somebody is breaking in.'”
Marisol claimed that when she heard a knock at the door, she gathered her three small children and went upstairs to hide in the attic.
