Woman Poisons Husband to Death Faces Malice Murder Allegations

A Georgia woman was nabbed after poisoning her husband to death, according to the authorities.

Report Details

In a report from WCTV, after a 14-month inquiry into her husband’s death, Torrii Fedrick Robinson, 43, was lodged into the Thomas County prison on November 28.

Fedrick (Robinson) is facing a malice murder allegation after TCSO authorities said the coroner’s office contacted them after Phillip Fedrick, 40, passed away in September 2021.

Due to concerns about the victim’s death, TCSO teamed up with the Thomasville Georgia Bureau of Investigations, eventually learning that he had been poisoned.

According to Captain Tim Watkins of the TCSO, “ethylene glycol was detected in Mr. Fedrick’s system during an autopsy.”

Investigation

After multiple interviews and more than a year of inquiry, Torrii was reportedly hauled into jail. According to officials, the investigation next focused on determining how Mr. Fedrick was poisoned.

Antifreeze and other products, such as brake fluid, frequently include ethylene glycol, according to Watkins.

He continued by saying that at this time, he was unable to discuss the specifics of how Torrii is said to have delivered the poison.

Fedrick (Robinson) is also accused with aggravated assault, criminal homicide, and theft by taking.

Signs, Symptoms Poisoning

Injury or death brought on by ingesting, breathing, touching, or injecting different medications, chemicals, venoms, or gases is referred to as poisoning, according to Mayo Clinic.

Many chemicals, including medicines and carbon monoxide, become hazardous with larger doses or concentrations.

Others also release hazardous vapors or fumes, while certain cleansers are only dangerous if consumed. Children are especially vulnerable to some medications and substances, even in trace levels.

Signs and symptoms of poisoning might resemble those of other illnesses, including seizures, alcohol intoxication, stroke, and an insulin response.

Burns or redness around the mouth and lips, breath that smells chemically, such as paint thinner or gasoline, vomiting, difficulty breathing, drowsiness, confusion or other altered mental status are all possible signs and symptoms of poisoning.
