Other Victims

The two homicide victims’ families are calling for justice and praying that the woman accused of killing them both will receive a life term in prison.

In connection with the deaths of 71-year-old Russell Reado in 2022 and 54-year-old Lonnie Dean Scott in 2021, Lace Christian is accused with two charges of murder. Both males were killed by gunfire.

Lace Christian’s grandfather is Russell Reado. The Lonnie Scott family thinks he was dating Reado when he passed away.

On more than $2 million in bonds, Christian is now being detained in the Jefferson County Jail.

Russell Reado and Lonnie Scott are both connected to Ceretha Rice. After experiencing the sorrow of losing her brother and cousin within nine months, she is speaking out and requesting justice.

Rice said that the woman “harmed my family” and “killed two of my close family members.”

Both victims were pillars in Rice’s family, she said.
