Senate Favours Government Spending Bill Worth USD 1.7 Trillion
As per reliable sources, the government funding bill that was previously passed will expire within a few days. In the wake of that, a new spending bill has been proposed and passed by the Senate.
The newly proposed funding bill is said to be worth USD 1.7 Trillion. If passed by the House, this bill will turn into law and the government can use the amount to fund a wide range of emergency operations.
Apparently, the Senate decided to vote in favor of this bill to avoid the potential shutdown which was supposed to be announced as a part of a protest against the lack of adequate government operational funds.
It is worth noting that if the bill is signed by Joe Biden, the government will have enough funds to support Ukraine in the ongoing war against Russia.
But the Republicans are not completely in favor of the bill and are asking for new amendments to it.
How is the Government Spending Bill Beneficial for the Democrats?
If the bill is turned into a law, Joe Biden and the Democratic party will gain a wide array of benefits. In fact, this bill will allow Biden to successfully initiate his ambitious domestic plans.
This will also enable him to successfully grant the request of USD 37 billion to provide necessary war aid to Ukraine. Apart from that, this government spending bill will be of great help to the police department while enhancing the healthcare dynamics for war veterans.
This bill is further expected to help the US to compete with China in various verticals. It will be interesting to see if the House passes this bill, making it a fully pledged law.
