Donald Trump rejoices as committee withdrew court order on January 6 after panel finished its work: ‘The Subpoena Is DEAD’

When he learned that the House select committee looking into the Capitol incident on January 6 had withdrawn a subpoena it had issued, former president Donald Trump exulted.

RadarOnline.com has verified that when the committee completes its work before dissolving on January 3, Trump posted a happy message on his Truth Social platform.

Lawsuit To Stop

In response to the subpoena that was issued to Trump in October, he filed a lawsuit to stop it.

The panel also sought a list of documents and conversations, including transcripts of calls, texts, emails, and encrypted messaging.

Anything that suggested he attempted to tamper with the 2020 election results between November 3, 2020, and January 6, 2021 was sought after.

As you may be aware, the panel’s Democratic chairman, Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson, stated in a letter, “The Select Committee has ended its hearings, published its final report, and will very shortly reach its end.” The Select Committee can no longer pursue the precise facts covered by the subpoena due to the impending conclusion of our inquiry.

Previously, on or around November 14, Trump was expected to show up for testimony under oath. Additionally, he was instructed to provide the papers earlier, by November 4.

News that the committee had submitted Trump to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution on four different counts surfaced earlier this month.

#45 stated despite the most recent event, asserting his innocence, “Was just notified that the Unselect Committee of political Thugs has dropped the Subpoena of me over the January 6th Protest of the CROOKED 2020 Presidential Election.”

‘Subpoena is DEAD’

They probably did it because they knew I didn’t do anything wrong or because they knew they were going to lose in court, Trump continued. The Subpoena is DEAD, maybe because to the FBI’s complicity in rigging the election, but whichever way it went.

It was just a matter of time, according to one of Trump’s attorneys, before this conclusion occurred.

“The House Select Committee waved the white flag and dropped subpoena to President Trump for his behavior as president,” Harmeet K. Dhillon stated in a statement. “After my company filed suit on separation of powers grounds to stop January 6” “Given history and the reluctance of former presidents to speak before Congress, we were certain of success in court. J6 committee squandered millions on a completely political witch-hunt, a complete abuse of procedure and authority serving no legitimate legislative purpose.”
