Texas Youngster Accused of Murder; Gets Imprisoned for 15 years

Timothy Joseph Grouss, an 18-year-old guy from Texas gets imprisonment for 15 years under the murder charges of a 16-year-old.

Why a Texas teenager has been put behind bars?

Timothy Joseph Grouss has been charged with the murder of Fernando Martinez.

As per an article by KCEN-TV, in August 2020, when Grouss was 16 years old, he was taken under custody for shooting twice and killing Fernando Martinez of the same age outside a basketball court in the 400 block of Smith Street, Belton.

Fernando was his junior in high school. Grouss was sentenced at that time and was penalized with 15 years of imprisonment without any right to appeal.

What do Texas Police have to say about Grouss’ case?

The police stated that the shooting and killing resulted from an argument between the accused and the victim. When the officials arrived, Fernando Martinez was found suffering in pain with two gunshot marks. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital. However, he couldn’t survive. According to KXAN, both Timothy Joseph Grouss and Fernando Martinez knew each other
