It’s not easy to master the art of horror. While the part has become synonymous with ” thrills,” the notion that a horror story is only about jump scares and scary faces diminish the genre’s subtle and robust nature. A horror story in the right hands is not only frightening on the surface but also has a sense of terror that can haunt people long after the credits have rolled. While the creators are the primary Imagineers of these products, “right hands” primarily refers to the actual villains who go bump in the night. The characters are the focal point of any superhero flick, frightening the audience with their looks, sense of conflict, or even their philosophies.
Gotou and Monokuma:
The Maxim depicts a world amid a subtle yet terrifying alien invasion. These aliens, referred to as “parasites” throughout the story, infect human bodies and take control of them, manipulating and contorting their bodies to help them fight and eat. As terrifying as this concept already is, Gotou’s presence amplifies it. Gotou, an experimental parasite, is a superbeing made up of five parasites. This increases his strength, makes his contortions more disturbing, and increases his bloodlust and contempt for humanity. While Danganronpa makes it a point to fear the people roaming the halls, no one can match the robotic bear’s sadistic nature. Junko Enoshima’s Monokuma is a byproduct.
Isabella and Kyubey:
The Promised Neverland is filled with giant, vicious monsters that eat human flesh, but most of them pale compared to giant ferocious monsters that eat human meat. Still, most of them pale compared to the utter terror that Grace Field House’s Mama can instil. Isabella is a cunning and cunning den mother who thrived on keeping her high-quality products happy despite later selling them off. Her gentle face conceals her position as a cruel and tactful warden, despite her long appearance as the orphan’s kind caretaker. Puella Magi Madoka Magica has done much to taint the beloved genre that it is based. Loved ones vanish, a deadly illness sweeps through the society, and everyone suspects the new family who has moved. While there are plenty of vampires stalking in this series, Megumi Shimizu is the one who creeps everyone out. Megumi was the family’s first victim, and she quickly became one of their most zealous agents. Lucy may be known and his friends as a friendly, fragile girl who can barely speak a word. But a monster lurks beneath her pink bangs, ready to wreak havoc on the world. Lucy is one of the members of the diclonius, a superhuman species.
Shinon Sonozaki and Mamoru Uchida:
When They Cry is a brain story about the tragic pasts and motivations of its main characters, as well as the horrifying events they can cause.
