Weeks ago, news reports saying that former United States President Donald Trump will be running for the presidency again in 2024 broke and he himself hinted several times about a possible run. Now, Trump has shared in an interview that the only thing that will stop him from pursuing his 2024 bid is a “bad call from a doctor.”
Trump hates ‘what is happening in the U.S.’
During an interview on “The Water Cooler” show on Real America’s Voice, when Trump was asked by commentator David Brody what would keep him from his 2024 presidential bid, the former president replied: “Well, I guess a bad call from a doctor or something, right? You get that call. Come on down and see because we’ve got a bad report. Things happen, through God, they happen.”
Trump went on to add that he feels so good, and he hates what is happening to the country. He pointed out that “the United States has never been in such a position and that the country was in a good place 10 months ago,” Business Insider reported, citing the interview.
Trump talks about the U.S.-Mexico border, Fauci
During the interview, Trump went ahead and talked about the current situation at the U.S.-Mexico border. Recently, there was an uproar after border patrol agents were seen in viral videos whipping at Haitian migrants attempting to cross the Rio Grande in Del Rio, Texas. Trump went on to call the situation at the border “third-world all the way, but worse.”
In reaction to the videos in which the Haitian migrants were charged at and chased down by border patrol agents, President Joe Biden said, “I promise you those people will pay. There will be consequences. It’s dangerous. It’s wrong. It sends the wrong message around the world; it sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are.”
During his interview with Brody, Trump also talked about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert.
“He was there for like 40 years or something. He was a part of the furniture. But if you think about it, I really did pretty much the opposite of whatever he said. I actually got along with him, you know? I actually found him — he was a character. He’d say, ‘Just call me Tony. Just call me Tony, sir.’ And, you know, he’s a better promoter than he is a doctor.”
Trump rallies to make ‘America great again’
Although Trump has been out of office since last year, he has continued to hold political rallies across the country. In these rallies, he promotes his candidates and also uses them as his platform for his “Make America Great Again” political philosophy.
