Looking For A Job? Amazon Is Hiring 11, 000 Workers In North Texas: Here’s How You Can Get The Job

Amazon on Tuesday announced that it would be hiring 125, 000 full-time and part-time employees across the country and 11, 000 of those jobs are in North Texas.

The jobs will be at fulfillment centers and delivery positions where employees’ pay will average more than %18 per hour. According to the online retailer, some positions are offering $3, 000 signing bonuses, WFAA.com reported.

Full-time employees are also entitled to benefits such as health insurance, 401 (K) matching and a 20-week paid parental leave.

Amazon’s job openings in North Texas include full-time and part-time positions at fulfillment centers in Coppell, Forth Worth, and Dallas. Base pay for those positions is $15.50 per hour.

Those who are interested can register online for Amazon’s Career Day set on Wednesday and Thursday. This virtual event will offer job seekers advice from recruiting specialists and career coaches for applying either in Amazon or other companies.

The hiring in North Texas is a part of the rise of Amazon positions opening up all over the country. Just this year, the online retailer company opened over 250,000 new fulfillment centers, sortation centers, air hubs, and delivery stations. This has been part of Amazon’s growth since the pandemic began alongside hiring 450, 000 people.

Amazon is also set to open six new delivery stations in North Texas with the following locations:

  • 2400 Centennial Drive in Arlington
  • Risinger Road & Old Burleson Road in Fort Worth
  • Litsey Road & Beach Street in Fort Worth
  • Klein Tools Blvd & 7th Ave in Mansfield
  • 12809 Eastgate Drive in Balch Springs
  • 1398 Industrial Blvd in McKinney

Amazon is also looking for 40, 000 people that could work in the corporate and technology side of the company. Aside from Amazon, The Plano Independent School District is also looking for drivers in North Texas and is working to hire with a pay of $21 per hour.
