Health wants that the entertainment venues can open until two in the morning throughout Spain. The Government intends to agree with the autonomies on common rules for de-escalation, maintaining restrictions indoors.
The ministry plans to hold mass events, with different capacity limits depending on the incidence of each community. Health wants that the entertainment venues can open until two in the morning throughout Spain.
The Ministry of Health has already designed how it wants this summer to be, still marked by the covid but with the numbers of infections on the decline and vaccination on the rise . If the incidence is not higher than 150, the entertainment venues may open until two in the morning.
The terraces will be allowed to be 100% occupied, but provided that a distance of one and a half meters is maintained between tables. Only a maximum of ten people can gather outside and six inside, with restaurants and bars not being able to exceed 50% of their capacity indoors. And there will be massive events, but with limits to the amount of public allowed depending on the incidence of each community.
The Government, which wants the rules to be common this time throughout Spain, raises these measures in the draft of ‘Coordinated response actions to control the transmission of covid-19’, advanced by ‘La Voz de Galicia’, to The content of which has been accessed by EL PERIÓDICO.
The Interterritorial Council, which brings together the Executive and the autonomies, will address the proposal at its meeting on Wednesday, but consensus seems difficult right now .Some communities consider that the initiative proposed by Health falls short and should be more restrictive, while others believe it is convenient to open their hand more.
Until now, this type of measure had been simple recommendations, and the autonomies could or could not comply with them, but this time the approach happens because they are mandatory.
Big events
The clearest case is that of mass events. Here, unlike in the other proposals, the Health text does contemplate that the regulation is different between the territories, according to their epidemiological situation.
Thus, it defends that this type of act cannot bring together more than 10,000 people in the autonomous regions where the cumulative incidence is less than 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a situation considered to be a new normal, in which at the moment there is no territory. At low risk (between 25 and 50 cases), the limit is 5,000 people.
And at medium risk (between 50 and 150), at 2,500. Several communities have less restrictive plans. Galicia, with an incidence of 69.58 at the moment, it plans to hold large events in July with a maximum of 10,000 people. Madrid, whose incidence stands at 173.47, intends to host a friendly soccer match between Spain and Portugal next Friday, with 22,590 spectators.
The autonomies and the ministry studied the document on Tuesday in the Public Health Commission, a technical body. There was no agreement and it was decided to continue making “new contributions” to the draft, health sources explained. On Wednesday, during the Interterritorial Council, an appointment that will also serve to tentatively address the end of masks abroad , the administrations will analyze these proposals in more detail.
