Heat's Tyler Herro misses 3rd straight game with strained groin. Guard's injury update for Game 6 of 2022 Eastern Conference Finals

The Heat announced guard Tyler Herro will miss Friday’s Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Boston with a groin injury.

“He’s definitely made progress, but he’s not quite ready,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said before Friday’s must-win showdown.

Herro suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Game 3, and the Kia Sixth Man of the Year has been out of action since.

Herro was quiet in Games 2 and 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, he scored 18 points off the bench in Miami's Game 1 victory.

Herro had a strong third season with Miami, averaging a career-high 20.7 points, five rebounds and four assists.
