Reds' Tommy Pham accepts three-game ban for slapping San Francisco Giants' Joc Pederson 

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham on Saturday said he agreed to a three-game suspension

On Friday, Pham had confronted and smacked Pederson while the Giants warmed up in the outfield

“I slapped Joc,” Pham said. “He did some (expletive) I don’t condone, so I had to address it.”

Michael Hill, MLB's senior vice president for on-field preparation, made the announcement

Pederson said Pham confronted him and slapped him on the face over a dispute

According to Pederson and multiple reports, the altercation took place prior to Friday's game

Several players intervened in the situation, and both clubs’ dugouts and bullpens emptied
