Attempted marijuana robbery leads to shooting, one arrest made, one suspect wanted

CHRISTIAN SCOTT FLORES - BEXAR COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities state that they have found and arrested a man they were looking for involved in a shooting and attempted robbery less than three months ago at a North Side apartment complex and are looking for a second in association to the incident.

Wednesday, 19-year-old Christian Scott Flores was apprehended and taken into custody that afternoon and is facing second-degree charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On Sunday, December 16th, 2018 officers with the San Antonio Police Department answered a call about 1 am about two shootings that occurred several minutes apart from each other in separate locations.

According to an arrest affidavit, San Antonio officers first arrived at a North Side home in the 3500 block of Crestmont Drive, where a man’s pickup truck had been scattered with bullet holes, numerous shell casings were found near the vehicle.

Some minutes later and less than six miles from the North Side home, officers were dispatched to the apartment complex in the 2200 block of Thousand Oaks. The arrest affidavit indicated that at this location the man’s friend was inflicted with a gunshot wound.

According to the affidavit, the gunshot victim informed officers that he had just come home to his apartment when he noticed a gold Chevrolet Impala, which was backed into a parking spot.

The Impala later started to drive towards him and stopped behind him, once behind the man he was then impacted with gunfire. The victim stated a man got out of the gold Impala and started shooting at him, hitting him in the forearm.

It was later discovered the gold Chevrolet Impala was registered under Flores’ name and was abandoned near the apartment complex with spent shell casings inside, per investigators.

Information from a witness who knows both of the suspects informed investigators Flores and the second suspect had been plotting to steal the two victims of marijuana on the right of the shootings.

Flores proclaims he “misplaced the vehicle keys and someone may have taken the (Impala) without his knowledge” but there was never a police report filed according to the affidavit.

The collected spent shell casings from the two scenes and found inside the vehicle were sent to the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network, after review investigators state that the casings found inside the Impala are linked to the two shooting scenes in the 3500 block of Crestmont Drive and the apartment complex in the 2200 block of Thousand Oaks.

Surveillance footage from the victim’s apartment complex displays the gold vehicle arriving and fleeing after the shootings took place with the headlights off, per the affidavit.

Investigators believe that Flores may also be involved with two separate shootings that occurred on Saturday, February 2, 2019, and Thursday, February 7, 2019. These took place at the apartment complex in the 7500 block of Ingram Road, where Flores had taken up residence at the time.
