BOERNE, Texas (Texasbreaking.com)- James Chester Kemp, age 28, was arrested and charged with three separate charges after the Boerne Police Department responded to a disturbance with weapons in progress on January 5 around 7:59 p.m., according to a BPD media release.
Upon arrival, officers reported that a victim had been cut with a knife and the suspect, James Kemp, fled on foot.
BPD wrote, “The victim stated that a customer notified him that there was a transient outside walking in circles and talking to himself. The victim confronted Kemp and told him to leave the area and this is when Kemp produced a knife and cut the victim’s face.”
The unnamed victim was said to be taken to the Methodist Hospital Emergency Room and was treated with stitches to his face.
The victim was able to describe and identify Kemp. Officers searched the area and found Kemp behind Herbst Veterinary Clinic. Once located, Kemp was taken into custody.
James Chester Kemp was charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, a 2nd-degree Felony with a Bond of $15,000; Obstruction or Retaliation, a 3rd-degree Felony, with a $10,000 Bond; and Harassment by Person in Correctional Facility, a 3rd-degree Felony, which has a Bond of $10,000.
