$1.5 million worth of cocaine seized by authorities, three Eagle Pass residents arrested

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (Texasbreaking.com)- An estimated $1.5 million worth of cocaine was seized on Monday, January 8, by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, said Sheriff Keith Korenek.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Randy Thuman, along with his K-9 partner Kolt, conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 around 10 a.m.



During the traffic stop of the red Ford F-150, Spectrum News-Austin reported that Thurman grew suspicious that the occupants of the vehicle may be involved int he transportation of narcotics. Upon receiving consent to search the truck, about 15 kilograms, close to 30 pounds, of cocaine was discovered behind the rear seat, in the rear floor, and under the center console.

The driver and passenger were reportedly arrested for Felony cocaine possession. They were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.

Both suspects that were arrested are said to be from Eagle Pass.
