SAN ANTONIO – After the first batch of storms rolled through the area Thursday leaving over 50,000 residents without power another round of storms and outages hit the San Antonio area Sunday night.
According to the City Public Service Energy map, over 20,000 people are experiencing a loss of power as of 9:45 p.m. Sunday night. In a release, CPS Energy stated they called for extra crew members and have mobilized teams to work throughout the night to safely restore power.
Access can be difficult in some areas due to obstructions caused by Sunday’s storm, such as fallen trees and personal belongs that may have gotten swept away in the wind.
As of 6:30 a.m. CPS Energy has reflected on their outages map that less than 700 customers are without power at this time.
