Puppy rescued by firefighter from storm drain gets adopted

UPDATE – The puppy that was rescued from a storm drain on Monday by Elgin Firefighter Daniel Lopez has now been adopted from the Bastrop County Animal Services, according to the Elgin FD.



The dog was fostered a few days after his rescue and a short time later, he was adopted.

“Great job Daniel and Congratulations to Buster on finding a loving home,” stated the Elgin Fire Department.



ELGIN – Firefighter Daniel Lopez rescued a puppy after he had fallen into a storm drain during a walk with his own, according to the Elgin Fire Department.

In a video posted by the Elgin Fire Department, the firefighter is seen lifting the puppy from the storm drain.



Elgin FD stated that the puppy was uninjured and was reunited with his owner.
