School bus crash, students on board, ‘no life-threatening injuries’

AMARILLO – According to the Amarillo Police Department, two Sanford-Fritch ISD school buses were involved in a wreck when one bus rear-ended another.



Reports from the scene stated that one bus hit another bus from the district from behind causing injuries to some of the passengers on board.

According to the Sanford-Fritch ISD, the students were on an Accelerated Reader field trip in Amarillo.



Police closed South Taylor Street from the 100 block to the 400 block, also the nearby overpass was also closed to traffic, so crews could clear the scene. The City of Amarillo buses were called in to help move those in the accident who did not suffer from injuries and non-critical injuries.
