Missing girl’s stepfather named as a person of interest

HOUSTON – Missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis’ stepfather, Darion Vence, has been named as a person of interested regarding her alleged kidnapping in Sugar Land last Friday, HPD told FOX 26.



It was previously reported by the Houston Police Department that Vence, Davis, and Davis’ 2-year-old sibling were carjacked and kidnapped on Friday evening. During the incident, Vence and the 2-year-old were dropped off in the Sugar Land area but the three kidnappers kept Davis.

The news station also stated that the continued search for the girl has moved to Sugar Land near Vence’s residence.



Police told FOX 26 that there were inconsistencies in the stepfather’s story.

It was reported that police are currently looking through clues and surveillance cameras as part of their investigation of Maleah Davis’ disappearance.
