BOERNE – Two suspects were arrested after police were called to a scene where a 19-year-old male had been stabbed in the chest, according to the Boerne Police Department.
BPD reported that the two suspects who were allegedly involved in the stabbing fled the scene in an unknown vehicle before officers arrived on Monday, April 8 at approximately 6:11 p.m. in the 100 block of Cibolo Branch.
The suspects were identified by BPD as Issac Pena, 55, and Grant Russell, 20, both of Boerne.
Authorities stated that during the investigation by BPD, officers discovered that the victim had been stabbed by his uncle, Pena.
The victim was transported by Air Life to University Hospital where after undergoing surgery, he remains in critical but stable condition.
During a search for the suspects, officers learned that Pena was arrested in San Antonio on a Parole Violation warrant by SAPD.
Russell later turned himself into the Kendall County Jail.
Pena and Russell will be charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon, a 2nd-Degree Felony.
BPD concluded to say that Pena is being held without bond and Russell is awaiting magistration.
