SAN ANTONIO – A 18-year-old faces murder charges after San Antonio police responded to a robbery call and found his mother, Mary Dempsey, 53, dead inside her home in the 7500 block of Stagecoach Lane.
Police arrived at the scene on Tuesday afternoon along with a family member who said that Mary did not show up for work. Officers found Dempsey’s body in her living room.
After being located, Mary’s son, Matthew Dempsey, 18, was arrested in the 7600 block of West Military Drive on Tuesday night without incident, stated SAPD.

Matthew Dempsey will be charged with capital murder after homicide detectives found probable cause saying he was at the scene and involved.
The woman’s cause of death has not been released and a motive for the murder is not known at this time.
Police are also searching for the victim’s vehicle which was missing when officers discovered her body.
