GILLESPIE COUNTY – Five male subjects were arrested in Gillespie County and are now facing multiple charges after authorities were called with a complaint of gunshots and possible road hunting this weekend.
Deputies were called out to the Seven Falls Ranch area, north of Stonewall, on Sunday, March 10, at approximately 12:50 a.m.
The complainant provided officials with a vehicle description and upon hearing gunfire, they discovered the suspected vehicle.
After making contact with the five individuals, ages 20, 22, 30, 40, and 43, Gillespie County Sheriff’s Deputies found them to be allegedly intoxicated while hunting on the road. According to GCSO, they were also in possession of multiple firearms, two white-tailed deer, one axis deer, and cocaine.
The five subjects were charged by Texas Game Wardens with hunting violations. Gillespie County Sheriff’s Deputies also charged them with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1<4 Grams (Cocaine).
GCSO said, “Thanks to the alert citizen for making the call and for all the law enforcement who worked the call together. If you hear or see something that doesn’t seem right, don’t hesitate to call.”
All five individuals, said to be from San Antonio, were transported to the Gillespie County Jail.
