1,000 people lose power after driver crashes into electric pole

SAN ANTONIO – Early Friday morning almost 1,000 people were without power on the city’s North Side after a vehicle plowed into a utility pole on Basse Road in between Highway 281 and McCullough Road according to San Antonio police.



Police stated that no one was harmed in the accident, but it did impact the power in the area for as many as 930 CPS Energy patrons and they were without service for a short amount of time.

Westbound Basse Road was shut down for a brief amount of time for the emergency crews to work on location, traffic conditions slowdowns were caused by the traffic lights losing power as well, according to police.



Police stated to use a different route of travel if possible for the time being.
