Robbery suspect on the loose after allegedly stealing safe with large amount of money

AUSTIN, Texas (TexasBreaking.com) – Officials with the Austin Police Department are searching for a suspect allegedly involved in a robbery that took place at 601 Rio Grande Street at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Monday, February 11, according to APD.



The individual was said to have exited a vehicle and entered the club. He then allegedly stole a safe containing a large amount of money.

The suspect is described by APD as a black male, around 20-30 years old, with a thin to average build.



The vehicle the suspect was seen driving is possibly a newer model dark grey Renegade-model Jeep, said authorities.

The robbery incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information about this unknown individual is urged to call the APD Commercial Burglary Unit at 512-974-6941.
