Alleged burglar shot in the head by homeowner

BIG SPRING, Texas (TexasBreaking.com) – Howard County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a home burglary call and found that two suspects allegedly burglarized a home and the homeowner and their friend shot one suspect in the head.



Deputies were called to the scene in the 2300 block of North Birdwell Lane on Tuesday morning.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the homeowner and their friend. The two told authorities that they had just gotten to the residence when they noticed the two suspects exiting the home.

The homeowner and friend told the suspects, identified by the Howard County Sherrif’s Office as Brandon Joe Robinson, 33, and Timothy Guy Wilson, 22, to stop and warned them that they were armed.



It was said that Robinson and Wilson told the homeowner that they were also armed and continued to get inside a vehicle.

News West 9 said deputies reported that the suspects allegedly made an aggressive move toward the homeowner and friend, who began firing at the vehicle the suspects were in.

Several shots were fired and Robinson was shot in the head. Wilson was not injured.



Robinson was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock. His current condition is not known.

Wilson was taken to the Howard County Detention Center. He has been charged with burglary of a habitation, said HCSO.

The homeowner and friend have not been charged with anything at this time.

An investigation of the incident is currently underway.
