CENTER POINT, Texas (HCBN)- The body of Benny Arnold Edmondson was discovered this morning on his family’s property off Highway 480 near the Verde Creek area near Center Point, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.

Benny’s son, Kevin Edmondson, who also lives on the property, went to his home this morning but did not find him there. After searching, Kevin found his father’s body in the creek on the south end of the property.

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene at around 8:27 AM. Deputies, along with Kerrville EMS, and the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department arrived at approximately 8:36 AM.

Upon arrival, KCSO said, “Investigators discovered areas on the bank of the creek which were disturbed. The victim’s shoes and flashlight were located in the water. A radio the victim often carried was also found in the bottom of the creek.”

Edmondson’s son informed investigators that his father had last been seen the previous afternoon.

CPR was performed on Benny Edmondson but proved to be unsuccessful.

KCSO added that they did not discover any sign of a struggle involving foul play.
