Traffic stop leads to drug discovery and two arrests

The Bandera Marshal’s Office has reported a drug arrest made by Deputy Smith after a traffic stop of two men, Joshua Howard, and Cornelius Bruce.



The traffic stop reportedly led Deputy Smith to locate 36 grams of Marijuana packaged for sale, 16.6 grams of Methamphetamine, 94 milligrams of Alprazolam, a pistol, a sawed-off shotgun with the serial number “obliterated” and a set of digital scales which are common in the use of weighing narcotics.

Both individuals were arrested and transported to the Bandera County Jail where they were said to be booked for the following:



HOWARD:

Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 4G<200G Methamphetamine 1st Degree Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 <28G Alprazolam Misdemeanor B, Possession of Marijuana <2oz Misdemeanor B, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon 3rd Degree Felony, Driving While License Invalid W/ Previous Conviction.

BRUCE:



Possession of Marijuana <2oz Misdemeanor B, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Sawed off shotgun 3rd Degree Felony, Tamper with ID Number Misdemeanor A.

The Bandera Marshal’s Office adds, “Both subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
