Community members invited to event to honor current and fallen law enforcement officers

Members of the community are invited to join the Kerrville Police Department in attending the National Police Officers Memorial Day Service on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 11 AM. The memorial day service will take place at the Kerrville Police Department located at 429 Sidney Baker in Kerrville.

The event focuses on coming together to honor and remember those in law enforcement who have lost their lives in the line of service, as well as the family members, friends, and fellow officers of the fallen.

National Police Week, May 13 to May 19, is observed nationwide to pay tribute and show respect to those who serve in law enforcement and those who have fallen in the line of duty.

By Public Law 103-322, May 15th has been designated as Peace Officer Memorial Day and all flags will be flown at half-staff to honor the fallen officers and their families.

KBN would like to take a moment to thank those who serve in law enforcement and their commitment and service to the community.
