Kevin Franke of Kerrville pleads not guilty to charges in connection with the deaths of Amanda Hawkins’ 2 children

Kevin Franke, 17, of Kerrville was arrested on Feb 3, 2018, in connection with the deaths of Brynn Hawkins and Addyson Renae Overgard-Eddy, ages 1 and 2. The two girls were the daughters of Amanda Hawkins.

Being tried as an adult, Franke’s charges consist of 2 counts of abandoning or endangering a child, 2 counts of injuring a child and 2 counts of manslaughter.

District Attorney Lucy Wilke confirmed to KBN that at his arraignment on April 26, Franke pleaded “not guilty” to all charges.

Records state that he is being held on bonds that total $300,000. His trial is set for August 27, 2018.

Amanda Hawkins is also being held on the charges of 2 counts of endangering a child and 2 counts of injuring a child. Her court date is set for May 21, 2018.
