Heavy rain possible tonight through tomorrow

March 27, 2018

It seems like we have gone from cold to warm to windy, and now to rainy weather. When will we see this rain let up?

For the Kerrville area, according to National Weather Service, this afternoon’s high could be near 72 with a south southeast wind blowing around 10 mph. Clouds and a 50% chance of showers can bring new rainfall amounts totaling less than a tenth of an inch. Thunderstorms are possible after 1 PM and higher rainfall amounts are possible at that time.

Tonight holds an 80% chance of rain; we should see more showers and thunderstorms with a low of around 60. New rainfall amounts are expected to be about a half to three-quarters of an inch. East northeast winds are expected to be 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday should be mostly cloudy and more showers and thunderstorms are likely bringing rain chances to 60%. A high near 73 and southeast winds of 5 to 10 mph turning to the northwest are possible. New rainfall amounts are expected to be between a quarter to half an inch. Wednesday night will likely be partly cloudy with a low of around 51 and north winds at 5 to 10 mph.

The sun will show its bright face, hopefully by Thursday. A high near 80 and northwest winds around 5 mph are expected.

Easter Sunday is predicted to have a partly sunny high around 79 degrees.
