BCSO asked for help in searching of a missing teenager

The University of Texas at Dallas has confirmed the tragic news that many in the state feared, the death of missing sophomore Andrew Li, by sending a letter to students, staff, and faculty.

Li, age 20 years, had been missing from February 24 after being seen leaving his room that same evening. In a letter sent this weekend by Dr. Gene Fitch, UT Dallas’ Vice President for Student Affairs, he stated that the sophomore’s body was not found on campus and that no signs of foul play were expected.

It is not believed that there’s any threat to the campus community at this time by the Dallas Police.
“We all grieve with Andrew’s family and friends at this sorrowful outcome,” the letter written by Fitch states. “We offer our sincere condolences to all who knew him.”

As per the previous reports released, the student left his cell phone, backpack, and laptop in his room just before disappearing on February 24, as informed by his mother. Then his mother got worried when a friend from the university told her that he couldn’t locate him on campus.

Li will be honored at the Comets Remember ceremony on March 19, according to CBS News. The ceremony is an annual event that honors every student at UT Dallas who sadly passed away that academic year.
