The Polk County Sheriff’s Office released an Amber alert for Cunningham on February 16. “On February 15, 2024, at around 7:00 a.m., Audreyi was last seen in the vicinity of her home in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive in Polk County, Texas. According to a news statement on Facebook, Audrii was supposed to board the school bus at her local bus stop. Nevertheless, school administrators informed the Sheriff’s Office that neither Audrii nor the bus arrived at the school.

The Texas State Guard, Livingston Police Department, Texas Ranger Division, Department of Public Safety, and other local fire departments are assisting the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in their search.

According to CNN, Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons stated that detectives are attempting to ascertain the nature of the possible crime. “We’ll decide what charges to file once we’ve gathered all that evidence,” he stated. “We want to ensure that the evidence we gather and include in an affidavit today will be sufficient to support it in a future court of law.”
