Steve Gomez, 47, was charged with two counts of first-degree super-aggravated sexual assault of a child.
SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man was sentenced to 99 years in prison in a sexual assault case involving a 5-year-old child, according to the Bexar County District Attorney.
Steve Gomez, 47, was charged with two counts of first-degree super-aggravated sexual assault of a child. He will not be eligible for parole.
Officials said Gomez was permitted to take the 5-year-old to a children’s birthday party in December 2019. Instead, he took the child to a motel.
The child later reported the assault to their mother, who took them to a hospital for help. Gomez was confirmed as the attacker through an exam where his DNA was found, officials said.
With a criminal history of family violence and drug possession, Gomez was categorized as a habitual offender.
Additionally, Gomez still faces a pending charge of assault on family 2nd and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He’s a monster, but how can the mother trust anyone with her child? She allowed this to happen by putting her trust in this pathetic image of a human being. Do you know what’s worrisome? It’s that there are a ton of guys who think as this guy does. Maybe not with a 5-year-old, but with a teen girl. Teachers, architects, plumbers, doctors, business managers, judges, and military officers. The good thing is that most won’t do it because they don’t have the opportunity. Not 100% true. I was a victim of such and that sicko was sentenced to life for being a repeat offender and guess what…he still has access to paper and pens to still harass me as an adult! Also, somehow got her hands on a phone while in prison and found me and my family on social media and harassed us there. I wished someone in there would hurt him the way he did me but no, the trashbag is still alive and moving from city to city. The new prison, new scenery!
