Fox News was the target of a defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems. Trump campaign lawyers and supporters have accused Fox News anchors of regularly airing false accusations. One of the allegations is that vote-counting devices switched ballots from Trump to Joe Biden.
According to CEO John Poulos, Fox News was aware that its figures were inaccurate yet continued to support them. Rupert Murdoch, the head of Fox, made a statement, and several hosts didn’t think the claims were repeated, according to the cbsnews.com report.
Weeks after the 2020 election, a group of attorneys intimately associated with Donald J. Trump conducted a news conference that was widely followed, according to a report from the previous year. They presented an absurd conspiracy theory that Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic colluded with financier George Soros and Venezuela to sabotage Mr. Trump’s bid for the presidency.
Many of the ludicrous assertions were covered in an internal document that Trump’s campaign had already written. Yet, the memo found that these claims were wrong.

Fox News Reckless Actions
Laurence Tribe, a Harvard law professor, predicted that Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News would succeed. Tribe claimed that while knowing that the accusations made against Dominion are unfounded, Fox News personnel nonetheless acted recklessly.
The dispute centers on Fox News’ reiteration of Donald Trump’s false claim that electoral fraud led to Joe Biden’s victory over him in the 2020 presidential election, including assertions about Dominion voting machines.
Dominion’s case benefits greatly from the way Fox employees express themselves with a significant amount of hyperbole about everything, according to Scott Horton, a lecturer at Columbia Law School.
A 192-page document that was filed made it evident that senior Fox News personnel, from Rupert Murdoch on down, were aware that the allegations against Dominion were untrue as soon as the election had concluded.
