Texas Homeowner Defends His House and Dog
A Texas homeowner in El Paso turned the tables on a suspected burglar who broke into his home and shot his dog. The incident took place on March 1st in broad daylight.
The suspect, Bruce Wayne Murphy, allegedly fired a gun inside the home, which left the dog wounded. In a remarkable display of courage and quick thinking, the Texas homeowner, 37-year-old Sean Patrick Suniga, pulled out his own firearm and returned fire, causing the suspect to flee the scene.

Two other residents were also present at the time of the attempted burglary with the Texas homeowner. The suspect was later found at an intersection near the home “yelling for help” and claiming that he had been shot, Fox News reported. He was transported to a local hospital and will be transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility upon his release.
The El Paso Police Department has obtained a warrant for burglary of a habitation with a bond of $500,000. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Animal Cruelty Investigative Unit and Crimes against person detectives, responded to the scene.
The Texas homeowner’s quick actions may have saved the lives of himself and his fellow residents, and they are fortunate to have escaped unharmed.
