The celebrity interior designer Jade Janks has been found guilty by the jury on Wednesday of planning and executing the murder of her stepfather. The body of Tom Merriman, Janks’ stepfather was discovered on January 2nd, 2021. She kept proving her innocence till now by asserting that Merriman died of illness. But an investigation has revealed that Janks drugged and strangled her stepfather intentionally on December 31st, 2020.
Janks reportedly discovered more than 100 of her naked pictures in Merriman’s computer and due to this reason, she executed the plan of murdering him.
Jade Janks kills her stepfather
The 39-year-old American interior designer, Jade Janks has been jailed with the accusations of killing her stepfather. On Wednesday, a jury of Solana Beach provided their verdict that Janks has deliberately drugged and murdered her stepfather Tom Merriman. Marc Carlos, Janks’ lawyer has publicly declared the news that she has been charged with first-degree murder allegations.
Nevertheless, Carlos criticized Merriman’s behavior toward Janks. He stated that she loved her stepfather but he was a troubled man who had wrong intentions for Janks. She reportedly confessed to her crime to two people. Furthermore, the officials revealed Janks’ text messages that clearly showed that she had committed the crime on 31st December 2020.

Why did Jade Janks murder her stepfather?
As per the sources, the butterfly activist, Tom Merriman saved more than 100 naked photos of his stepdaughter. He even saved one of the pictures as his screensaver. Janks took those photos years back with her ex-boyfriend which she found in Merriman’s computer while cleaning his space when he was under treatment in the hospital.
Both Merriman and Janks had a cordial relationship between father and daughter after her mother left him. But things took a different turn when Janks discovered her nude photos on Merriman’s personal computer.
