Tennessee Worker Rummaging in Salt Pile Found Human Heart as Shocking Discovery

A shocking discovery in Humphreys County, Tennessee; had shaken the workers of the local Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) when a human heart was discovered hidden in a pile of salt, reported True Crime Daily.

According to Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis who spoke to WKRN-TV saying the deputies got the call from the TDOT facility located in McEwen last Thursday. It was called an item of interest.

The outlet said the workers were getting the salt together for use on the roads to make brine. One of them thought it was only a rock but upon inspection, it was a vital organ ripped out from someone’s chest.

Chief Davis added the human organ seen there could have been there for a long time. It was dried out from exposure to the salt he said.

WKRN stated it was from an unknown adult male; Davis immediately ordered an investigation and called the salt pile a crime scene as well.

It was learned that the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office is hooking up with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and TDOT to further investigate if there is a lot more to find out.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, a statement they released had these details. The request of the Judicial District Attorney General Ray Crouch and the TBI are with the officers of the Sheriff’s office to probe how the organ found its way to the facility on McEwen.

Furthermore, it added that after the first examination of the heart of a grown male, there will be some DNA testing to check it more, and it declared active and ongoing said investigation.

Davis remarked about the investigation, saying it’s crazy stuff and the oddest crime scene that he’s been on.
