Anthony Fauci Has No Clue to DeSantis Allegations, Says COVID-19 Vaccines Highly Effective and Safe

As the debate over Gov. Ron DeSantis’ opposition to the Biden administration continues, his most recent statement casting doubt on the COVID-19 vaccines’ efficacy and calling for a state grand jury investigation has sparked controversy. Anthony Fauci, the outgoing medical advisor to the White House, responded to the allegations made by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by claiming to be unaware of them.

DeSantis Allegations

In a request made to the Florida Supreme Court on Tuesday, Governor Ron DeSantis urged the appointment of a grand jury to look into alleged “wrongdoing” involving the Covid-19 vaccines, including the dissemination of untrue and deceptive claims regarding the effectiveness of the doses.

DeSantis stated during a live-streamed round table discussion with Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo that it is against Florida law to mislead the public, especially regarding drug safety, although numerous organizations have backed the efficacy of the vaccines, according to politico.com report.

DeSantis claimed that COVID-19 mandates had profited vaccine producers like Moderna. He claimed in his petition that the pharmaceutical industry has a well-known history of deceiving the public to profit.

Fauci’s Response to DeSantis’ Accusations

On Wednesday, Anthony Fauci responded to DeSantis’ accusations of wrongdoing in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution. The fact that millions of lives were spared from the deadly pandemic, according to Fauci, the current director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, proves that vaccines are safe and effective.

According to Fauci, this issue has become politicized. He refers to the COVID-19 virus as the “common enemy” that all Americans should stand against, regardless of party affiliation and in the face of false and misleading information.

Although Fauci is leaving his government positions this month to pursue a different career, leading Republicans have vowed to look into him regarding the American response to COVID-19.
