Texas residents will be able to continue receiving SNAP benefits through December 2022, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission announced.
The emergency benefits of more than $340 million are coming and maybe some of the residents got their benefits already, according to the Texas KTEM report.

SNAP, a federal program administered by HHSC, offers food assistance to qualified low-income families and individuals in Texas. Texans in need can apply for benefits, such as Medicaid and SNAP, at YourTexasBenefits.com or manage their benefits using the Your Texas Benefits mobile app.

Approval Granted
The United States Department of Agriculture has granted clearance for the maximum amount of payments, which would depend on the size of the family.
Every SNAP household will nonetheless get at least the required $95 in emergency assistance.
