Nick Cannon is providing an update from the comfort of his hospital bed.
According to the host of The Masked Singer, illness has forced him to seek medical attention.
“Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman,” he wrote on Instagram on Dec. 2.
It’s Just Pneumonia
Nick informed the public that “it’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t manage,” so there was no need to offer “well wishes or prayers.”
“Don’t trip,” the 42-year-old said, noting he only needs “some solid rest, and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever.”
Nick continued by saying that he fell ill just one day after appearing in New York for Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out Live.
“The crazy thing is, last night we were just rocking a sold-out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I’m all alone in a tiny hospital room,” he wrote in his post. “Life is a rollercoaster!”
Lupus Warrior
From his hospital bed, the comedian, expecting his twelfth kid, posted pictures of himself wearing a beanie and a mask with the hashtag #LupusWarrior.
Over the past ten years, Nick has been transparent about his battle with lupus. He was admitted to the hospital in 2012 for kidney failure and later for blood clots in his lungs, which is how he discovered an autoimmune condition. At the time, he told People that he would “be dealing with this kidney condition his entire life.” He is grateful to be alive, he added at the time.
