The Dallas police department was informed of a shooting that occurred last Thursday at a family dollar store situated at 1928 E. Ledbetter Drive. An employee of the store was shot dead. After almost three days of investigation, the suspect has been taken into custody.
Dallas Family Dollar Store worker killed
On 1st December Thursday at evening around 5.30 p.m., the Dallas police arrived at 1928 E. Ledbetter Drive, responding to a call that mentioned a shooting in a family dollar shop. At the back side of the store, the officials found Tenery Walker, an employee of the store, dead from bullet shots. They also identified an alleged theft in the shop.
The surveillance cameras revealed that Walker confronted the shooter following his unusual behavior. The confrontation ultimately led to the fatal shooting. The 46-year-old was a family man who had five children and two stepchildren. He joined the dollar store four months back. The police used the images and clips extracted from the surveillance camera to catch the shooter.

Police catch the dollar store shooter-
Fox 4 states that police got the shooter’s images from the store’s CCTV cameras. They distributed them among the officials and the public to catch the suspect as soon as possible. The USA Marshal’s Task Force arrested the suspect. Diavian Roberts, a 22-year-old guy shot Walker with the purpose of burglary.
Roberts mentioned that Walker asked him to leave the dollar shop at once. Instead of leaving, the suspect shot the employee of the store. Roberts has been taken into custody and is currently in Dallas County Jail.
