Early on Thursday morning, a Barnhill Construction worker saw the car and the bodies with gunshots while heading for work. When the police arrived, they identified the bodies of Destiny Wiggins and Devon Brown. Two of them were declared dead on the spot.

The toddlers found inside the car were taken to UNC Nash Healthcare urgently. They were not physically hurt. According to Care Mom, they are healing well. Robert Hassell, Rocky Mount, North Carolina Police Chief, stated that among the victims, Wiggins was 24, and Brown was 28.
The police have stated that their appearance at the location is quite suspicious, and none of the dead victims worked there where the car was found. Furthermore, the killing seemed to be pre-assumed and target-centered; hence, there was no danger to the concerned public of the locality.
