Houston Police Department has reportedly arrested a criminal who shot a person and hid the body inside his apartment till his arrest.
What exactly happened in Houston?
A 27-year-old unidentified man was shot dead by 22-year-old Jairo Vanejas in an apartment at West Bellfort Boulevard.
The incident was reported to the HPD by a witness who apparently heard the gunshot. It happened at around 10.40 PM on Sunday and the crime was registered on Monday.
The prime witness provided the police with every detail pertaining to the suspect making it easier for them to identify and catch him.
The Victim’s Body
On receiving the complaint, Houston Police reached the apartment. On knocking Vanejas answered the door. The cops checked his apartment and found the body of the victim.
As per the HPD, the victim suffered one gunshot to his head and died. The body was lying astray in the apartment until Vanejas’ arrest.
Till now, the motive behind this gruesome act has not been known. The culprit has been arrested and is behind bars.
Some sources have revealed that the victim and culprit were involved in drug activity and had a deep brawl. When things went out of hand Vanejas fired the bullet and killed the man.
