A man in Pennsylvania jumped into a vehicle and stole it with three boys in the backseat. Victims called 911 to ask for help.
Man in Pennsylvania Stole a Car and Kidnapped Three Boys
The father of the three boys got out in his SUV to go inside Walmart when a man jumped in the car and stole the vehicle with three kids in the backseat. The three boys age 15, 12, and 7 immediately called 911 to ask for help, authorities said.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, in an affidavit filed on the day of the incident, Nov.20, one of the boys said that they are with a driver he believed was drunk. They asked and begged the man to slow down or to stop but he refused to do so.
In a published article in The Kansas City Star, it was reported that the man struck a curb and caused a significant damage. Officials added that he continues to speed away from the Gettysburg Walmart but they were able to locate him because on of the boys update the troopers about their location.

Troopers Chased the Stolen Vehicle
The troopers chased the stolen SUV and they said that they attempted to catch up while driving over 120 mph. Authorities said that they caught the stolen vehicle but the driver refused to slow down or stop. One of the troopers was able to get in front of the vehicle.
One of the troopers said, “I opened the door and gave him verbal commands to get out.As he did, the vehicle kept rolling forward until he put it into park.”
They also noticed that the man was heavily intoxicated. They said, “he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about his breath … as well as glassy blood shot eyes,” When asked how drunk he was, he said. “really drunk, I’ve been drinking a lot man.”
Driver Admitted He Stole the Car
During the investigation, he admitted that he intentionally stole the car because he ran out of gas and need to go to Harrisburg to buy heroine, according to the records filed.
He also knew that there were kids at the backseat when he stole the car and but he still decided to continue driving. According to a report obtained from a news outlet, the man was charged with three counts of kidnapping, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding a police officer and DUI offenses.
