LACEY, Oklahoma >> Police reported late Tuesday that the suspect in the weekend slayings of four persons at an Oklahoma marijuana farm was taken into custody in the afternoon in South Florida.
According to a late-night Facebook post by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Wu Chen was taken into custody by Miami Beach police just before 4 p.m. Central time without incident and transported to the Miami-Dade County Detention Center. It stated that the arrest occurred “when a car tag reader highlighted the vehicle he was driving.” The suspect, who will face extradition to Oklahoma, will be accused with murder and shooting with the intent to kill.
Additionally, OSBI shared a picture of the man sitting shoeless on a curb with what appears to be handcuffs around his back, which was provided by U.S. Marshals. Three men and one woman, all of Chinese descent, were reportedly shot dead and “executed” on the 10-acre (4-hectare) plot of land west of Hennessey, about 55 miles (90 kilometres) northwest of Oklahoma City, according to the authorities. A fifth victim, who is also a citizen of China, was hurt and transferred to a hospital in Oklahoma City.
